Pest control for offices and commercial buildings

Break rooms, shared walls and waste areas let pests into offices. We plan around your staff.

Offices look clean and quiet, yet they offer pests what they want: crumbs in the break room, warm walls, hidden voids above the ceiling and plenty of deliveries. We work with offices, coworking spaces, medical and professional suites and commercial buildings across Ontario. Request a quote and we send details in under 30 minutes.

Who this is for

This page is for office managers, building managers, tenants who share a floor and owners of small commercial buildings. If your lease splits responsibility between landlord and tenant, talk to the other party early, because pests ignore those boundaries.

Pests that matter in Ontario offices

Ants

Ants follow crumbs, coffee station spills and moisture, and they are most active in spring and summer. A trail along a window or baseboard usually points back to an entry crack. See our ant control service and the ant guide.

Mice

Mice use gaps around pipes, cables and doors, then move through ceilings and wall voids. Scratching at night, droppings in a cupboard or gnawed food packaging are the usual signs. Read about rodent control and the mouse guide.

Cockroaches

Break rooms, kitchenettes and shared washrooms give roaches warmth and water, and they spread through shared walls in multi-tenant buildings. See cockroach control.

Bed bugs in bags and coats

Offices are not ideal homes for bed bugs, but they can arrive in bags, coats and belongings and be found in chairs, sofas and coworking spaces. If you find one, avoid moving furniture around, since that can spread them. Our bed bug treatment page explains what we do.

Wasps at entrances in summer

Nests near doors, loading bays and rooftop vents become a risk for staff and visitors in summer. Keep people away and do not try to knock one down. See our wasp nest removal service.

How our process fits an office

We use the four steps from our integrated pest management guide.

  1. Inspect. We check break rooms, storage, waste areas, ceilings where accessible, entrances and the building exterior.
  2. Identify. We confirm the pest, so the method fits.
  3. Treat. We choose targeted methods and tell you which areas to clear or avoid.
  4. Follow up. We return to check results and treat anything still active.

We will talk through timing around your staff schedules and shared spaces when we book the visit.

What your team can do between visits

  • Wipe down the break room each day and take food waste out.
  • Store food in sealed containers rather than open drawers.
  • Report leaks and damp spots to the building manager.
  • Keep boxes and storage off the floor, and tidy.
  • Ask staff to tell a named lead about any sighting, with time and place.
  • Seal visible gaps around pipes and cables.

What to expect

Request a quote and describe the building and the problem. You get price details or a call-back in under 30 minutes. After you accept, a technician inspects and explains the plan. For our general approach to businesses, see our commercial pest control page.

Common questions

What pests are common in Ontario offices?

Ants, mice and cockroaches are the usual ones, plus the odd wasp nest near an entrance in summer. Bed bugs can also be carried in on bags and coats. Break rooms and waste areas are the usual draw.

Can bed bugs be a problem in an office?

Yes. They are not an office pest in the way roaches are, but they can be carried in on bags, coats and belongings, especially in busy shared spaces. If staff report bites or you find them, call us for an inspection before anything is moved.

How do mice get into office ceilings and walls?

Mice squeeze through small gaps around pipes, cables and doors, then travel through ceiling and wall voids. You may hear scratching or find droppings in break rooms and storage. They are best handled by a professional rather than with DIY products.

Who handles wasps at an office entrance?

Please do not try to remove a nest yourself, and keep staff away from it. We offer wasp nest removal, and you can request a quote online. Summer is when nests near entrances are most active.

Can treatment be planned around staff?

We will talk through timing around your working hours and which areas are in use when we book. Tell us about shifts, shared spaces and any sensitive areas in the quote request.
